An Update

Hey,

We hope you’re enjoying the end of your summer.

We’re planning to march in the annual American Labor Museum Paterson Labor Day parade on Sunday, September 2nd. The line up starts at 11:30 am and the parade starts at 1:30 pm at the National Landmark Botto House on 83 Norwood Street, Haledon, NJ 07508. North Jersey has a rich history of labor activity especially in the early 20th century and we’d like to honor that history in part by marching.

The parade will feature many potential allies and it would be a great show of support if we have a large contingent marching.

We are also investigating labor issues at colleges to determine the feasibility of a campaign to improve conditions. Many universities are being run like corporations to detriment of all but the administrators. More and more classes are taught by adjunct professors who cannot survive on the meager wages they are paid at the same time that the price of tuition is soaring through the roof. So opinions and connections to professionals working on college campuses are welcomed. Being an adjunct professor should not be a precarious position.

Enjoy your weekend, brought to you by the Labor movement.

In solidarity,

Dan
